The Nature of Trauma - An Introduction to Moral Injury

 This workshop introduces and differentiates between two of the most powerful sources of psychological trauma: life-threat and moral injury.  Emphasis is placed on understanding the impacts of hyper & hypo arousal (life-threat) and the determinants of guilt and shame (moral injury).

Hearts and Minds - Moral Injury in Modern Conflict

This workshop evaluates the moral landscape of modern combat and policing operations. Counterinsurgency theory is introduced and the 'paradoxes of counterinsurgency' are considered from the standpoints of both moral injury and moral resilience.
